Well, today’s the day. Time to shut down my old bid management software for the last time and embrace the new quality score driven solution on Yahoo Search Marketing, which is being turned on today. I took the Yahoo Ambassador exam last week and have been preparing for what I think will be a strong push by Yahoo in the PPC market.
I’m sure this new quality system is going to be good for my clients. I spend lots of time on landing page development for other economic reasons and those will be very compatible with the new solution. In fact, I feel that my way of doing landing page optimization really is all about quality scoring anyhow. Low quality scores mean low conversions, and that is the enemy of profitable pay per click campaigns.
I have great hope that we’ll see some good results from the new system. I’m looking forward to it, and to helping my clients take advantage of higher quality pages and ads.
