Many businesses still view their website as a “set it and forget it” part of their marketing plan. They do not realize that the continuous marketing of their online presence should be a major portion of their global marketing plan.
One of my clients recently paid $25K to have a commercial created and pays another $25K per month for magazine advertising but let their website sit idle on page 14 of Google’s search results for their main keyword phrase. After explaining the benefits to them, they hired me to market their website. They are now on page one at #5 and rising and their sales have drastically increased. They were more concerned about establishing name recognition via the old-school marketing techniques.
Businesses need to understand the benefits of a continuous online marketing plan that takes advantage of all the latest avenues.
