I wanted to snap a picture of a shirt I thought my husband might like and then snapped a picture of a watch I wanted. This one clerk fell completely apart because I was "snapping pictures all over the store". And like you, I explained what I was doing, but wasn't greeted with kindness in return. I've only been back there twice since and that was only with my mother because she had some shopping to do. I agree, taking a picture will not steal the soul the store. These policies are outdated and need to be changed.
