Its very simple to me as a person who's been involved in the music industy since the 1960's,the Riaa has never done anything for artists in this industry unless you are awarded a platinum or gold record you don't know they exist, the majority of artists they claim to represent have never received a dime from them.Radio Stations should demand to see a list of so-called artists and record companies who have been paid by Riaa. Now here's the answer don't play anything but unsigned and independent artists only, only play a major Artist if its paid advertisement for the record company, remember the record companies sell millions of cd's online thru customers who only listen to internet radio, this is not going to change, remember before the emegence of internet radio, the record industry was ying, without internet sales the record industry is going to suffer.Broadcast radio can't save them So play the great music of the unsigned and independent artist and watch the record industry suffer.
